The Louisville Cardinals have always been a prideful program looking for more respect. From being their own state’s second favorite program, to switching from conference to conference, to the men who coach U of L with a chip on their shoulders, the team in red and black has an enviable resume.
Louisville won two NCAA championships in 1980 and 1986. The Cardinals have reached nine Final Fours (6th all time) in 38 NCAA tournament appearances (5th all time), while compiling 64 tournament wins (6th all time) in their illustrious history. Moreover, many notable players have played in the various U of L home arenas like Freedom Hall or the KFC Yum! Center, including guys like Wes Unseld, Darrell Griffith, Pervis Ellison and Earl Clark.
Today on Sneaker Report, we will put the spotlight on the Cardinals and highlight The Sneakers Worn for the 15 Best Performances in University of Louisville’s Basketball History.
