This Deep-Water Soloing Competition Is Super Impressive

Psicobloc Masters Series 2013 Deep-water Soloing Competition is probably one of the more intense competitions you will ever witness in your life. Imagine: A rock climbing wall with no ropes or suspension that warps 50 feet above a large swimming pool where the slightest slip means a sure splash all the way down. Intense, right?

Utah Olympic Park was the home of this wall where the competition took place. The very spectator friendly event pit the best of the best in this sport head to head to see who can climb the highest and fastest before the undeniable drop into the pool below. The comp featured a men’s and women’s division and winners shared a $20,000 purse, the largest of any climbing competition this year; making it the most exciting climbing competition yet.
