During the halftime mark of last night's game between the Phoenix Mercury and Seattle Storm, the Storm headed to the locker rooms with a three point deficit. In the third quarter, they outscored Phoenix 28-16 and never looked back, rallying to a 88-79 win. The Storm were powered by 16 points a piece from Tameka Johnson and Tina Thompson.

Thompson, a 9-time WNBA All-Star and 4-time WNBA Champion, is the only active player who has been in the league since its inaugural season in 1997. The veteran has expressed plans to retire at the end of the 2013 season, but and spoke after the game on any speculation regarding a return: "I've played better in my career, that's for sure. But I guess I'm playing good for a 38-year-old. But, no, I'm not coming back for another year. No second thoughts," she said.

If Thompson's lengthy WNBA tenure makes her the Queen of her league, she took a page out from the NBA's King last night. Thomspon wore a PE version of the Nike Zoom Soldier VII. This model features a durable Hyperfuse construction, Zoom Air cushioning, and Pro Combat tooling in the collar for padded comfort. Pick up the Zoom Soldier VII today for $125.
