Although Carmelo Anthony and the New York Knicks had their postseason run cut short, there will likely be some celebrating in the Big Apple tonight as it's Melo's 29th birthday. On May 29, 1984, Anthony was born in Brooklyn, NY and later moved to Baltimore where he excelled in high school basketball. He would later play at Oak Hill and eventually attended Syracuse where he led the Orangemen to the 2003 NCAA Championship.

Melo was drafted in 2003 alongside LeBron James, playing seven seasons with the Denver Nuggets before being traded to New York in 2011. Since hitting the NBA, Anthony's built an outstanding resume, including the 2013 Scoring Championship, six All-Star selections, and a number of playoff appearances. In 2004, Jordan Brand rolled out his first signature sneaker: the Jordan Melo 1.5. The most recent addition to the line is the Jordan Melo M9, which features supportive Flywire overlays and Zoom Air cushioning. They've available from Nike for $140.

Happy Birthday to one of the NBA's greatest players!
