LeBron James has been honored with four of the last five NBA MVP awards, earning back-to-back honors on two occasions in 2009/2010 and 2012/2013. However, there's one Maurice Podoloff Trophy feat that has eluded LeBron, and that's winning it in three consecutive seasons. Only three legendary players been able to pull it off: Bull Russell, Wilt Chamberlain, and Larry Bird. It was May 28, 1986 when Bird was honored with his third and final MVP award.

During this time period, Larry Bird was wearing the just-released Converse Weapon. With reliable performance tech like EVA cushioning and a memorable ad campaign, the Weapon was one of the most successful signature sneakers of the era.
