Nowadays, you can catch Marshall Faulk on The NFL Network as a commentator and analyst. But if you watched pro football throughout the mid-'90s and early-2000s, you'll know that Faulk was arguably the greatest running back of his era, as well as one of the greatest NFL players of all time. Marshall spent the early years of his career with the Indianapolis Colts before being dealt to the St. Louis Rams in 1999.

Although Faulk only has one Super Bowl ring to his name (Super Bowl XXXIV), he set a number of records throughout his career that remain in place today. He is one of three NFL players with a total of 10,00 rushing yards and 5,000 receiving yards, matched by both Marcus Allen and Tiki Barber. However, if you increase those numbers to 12,000 rushing and 6,000 receiving yards, Marshall Faulk is in a league of his own, as the only player in history to post such impressive numbers.

Whether in the Indianapolis Colts or St Louis Rams colors, Marshall was endorsed by the Swoosh, wearing various Nike models throughout his twelve year career. He was famously featured in a commercial for the Nike Air Barrage trainer, and later became synonymous with a number of Nike Zoom Turf sneakers. Faulk is pictured here in a Colts-colored turf version of the 1995 Nike Air Up, a model which was best known as a basketball sneaker and wasn't available to the public in its turf variation.

Happy Birthday Marshall Faulk!
