Despite their best efforts, Duke's Final Four hopes were dashed against Louisville. However, in 2001, the Blue Devils did indeed make the Final Four. And then they went all the way to the National Championship against Arizona and beat them, too. On April 2, 2001, Duke claimed their third NCAA title, shutting down the Wildcats in a 82-72 victory.

Duke was led by eventual NBA draftee Shane Battier. "Who's Your Daddy" sonned the entire Arizona roster with 18 points, 11 rebounds, and six assists. His footwear for the night was the Nike Air Flight Lite II.

Battier was drafted by the Vancouver Grizzlies later that year. The twelve-year veteran also holds the rare distinction of having won both an NCAA and NBA title. You can currently catch him in action with the Miami Heat.
