Following up the release of the UA Anatomix Spine and Micro G Torch, Under Armour has rolled out the second installment of its budget-friendly basketball shoe, the UA Jet.

The UA Jet 2 may be simple in design, but in terms of performance, it’s anything but. Ok, so if you’re really looking to make an impact on the hardwood next season, you may want to opt for the Anatomix Spine. But if you’re looking for the most bang for your buck, the Jet 2 should serve you well for this weekend’s pick-up game.

On paper, the Jet 2 comes in a whole ounce heavier than its predecessor, though the shoe’s streamlined design makes it feel just as lightweight. Its open mesh upper is reinforced with leather and synthetic overlays, which provide lateral and medial stability. Perforations along the sidewalls allow the shoe to breathe properly during the heat of the battle. The shoe also comes loaded with a full-length EVA foam midsole for responsiveness and support.

Inside, you’ll find a molded Ortholite sockliner for a custom, well-cushioned fit. On the outside, a one-piece rubber outsole with a multi-directional traction pattern allows for quick cuts and improved maneuverability on the court.

$70
