Under Armour and Northwestern University Athletics convened today to unveil the school’s new and improved football uniforms for the 2012 season─ making Northwestern the first Big Ten institution to be outfitted by UA.
Clad in purple and black, the uniforms are a blend of state-of-the-art technology and University tradition, with the focal point of the jersey being the “Northwester Stripe” (a popular design element amongst the football community that was originated by Northwestern). Under Armour has plans to incorporate this same look for each of the school’s 19 sports teams.
The Wildcats will debut their new look against Syracuse on September 1st.
