Really no surprise here, but if you haven't heard, Usain "Lightning" Bolt is still the fastest man in the world.

Bolt joined American running great, Carl Lewis, last night as the second man to win gold in the 100m event two consecutive times. Despite being pinned up against some of best sprinters in the world, including Justin Gatlin, Tyson Gay, Asafa Powell, and Yohan Blake, Bolt took the track in a pair of custom Puma evoSPEED Spikes and ran one of the fastest times ever. His London kicks weren't as flashy as the gold Pumas he wore in 2008 Beijing, but the evoSPEED stayed tied and got the job done, setting an Olympic record at 9.63 seconds.

The Jamaican icon still has some work to do before he can truly get into celebration mode. Bolt will compete in the men's 200m and the 4x100m Relay in the coming week.
