Around this time last year, ESPN put together a list ranking the top 500 players in the NBA. While the list certainly boosted a few egos and started some heated discussions, one player is taking a playful approach to his spot on the list. Kent Bazemore of the Golden State Warriors had an impressive stint in college at ODU, but spent much of the 2012-13 season on the bench and in the D-League playing for the Santa Cruz Warriors. His ranking on the power list? Number 499, just second to last.
But instead of letting the low selection affect his game, Bazemore has embraced his #499 spot with a custom Under Armour Micro G Torch makeup. At first glance, this silver, blue, and yellow rendition may seem like a simple Warriors colorway, but behind the tongue lies stitching which reads "499."
