Slipping into a Brooks Running shoe is an experience all athletes should treat themselves to.

Brook's PureProject aims to cross blend minimal running shoes with the feel of a cushioned trainer with great success. The PureConnect weighs in at a crisp 7.2 ounces, a lightweight minimalist trainer equipped for a variety of distances from 5k races to a full-fledged marathon. This is the middle child of the PureProject, a great choice for runners looking to ease into a mid-foot strike.

The PureConnect is appropriately named as this running shoe seamlessly connects your stride to the ground. After a few runs in the shoe, it's easy to grow accustomed to the 4.0mm heel drop and the upper that fits on the snugger side. Reviewers found this shoe instantly comfortable as the shoe molds to the foot immediately, however, needed a few test runs to break in the at-first slippery sole. All resolved after a few trials, this is a great running shoe for runners looking to go minimal without sacrificing a cushioned ride.
