You may remember back in 2009 when Kobe Bryant dropped 61 points against the Knicks, setting a Madison Square Garden record for points scored by an opponent. For whatever reasons, Kobe always seems to save his best performances for the "World's Most Famous Arena." Therefore, it's fitting that Mamba's signature sneaker would see a colorway based off the team that calls MSG home. No, not the New York Knicks, but rather the New York Liberty.

Up close images of Liberty guard Cappie Pondexter's Nike Kobe 9 EM PEs from this past season have hit the web. If anything, the shoes prove that the NBA isn't the only place for dope player exclusives. With blue and orange accents set to a white background, the sneakers have a distinct New York flavor. Throw in the teal midsole and eyelets and you have a shoe that goes perfectly with the Liberty's uniforms. Of course this isn't the first time that Pondexter has brought the sneaker heat, as she's taken to her Instagram before to show off Nike KD7 and LeBron 11 PEs, as well.
