With the Nike Kobe 9's prolific run coming to an end, it's about that time for a "What the Kobe" colorway to release. This morning, images of this multi-colored Kobe 9 Elite have the hit the web, leading many people to think that this is the "What the Kobe" Kobe 9 Elite.
While the colorways on the Flyknit upper look unfamiliar, the graphics on the extended heel look to be from previous Kobe 9 Elite releases. If these are the "What the Kobes," they appear to be less involved than other "What the" releases Nike has put out in the past. However, with the Kobe 9 looking more and more like it will obtain classic status among sneaker enthusiast, we're sure that these "What the Kobes" will fly off the shelves once they become available. As of right now, there is a rumored January 1 release date, which would be the perfect sendoff for the shoe right before the Kobe X drops in February.
