Drose Boost

It's been a pretty big past two days for Derrick Rose. After revealing the adidas D Rose 5 Boost yesterday, the former MVP threw down a devastating two-handed dunk at Team USA Practice today.

This clip couldn't have been timed better for adidas, which unveiled its new line of basketball shoes featuring boost technology, including the D Rose 5, just yesterday. Boost technology features material made up of thousands of capsules that help store and release energy efficiently as athletes perform.

"Having the Boost cushioning in my new signature shoe makes it the most favorite of mine that we've ever done," said Rose. "I've played in them for a couple months, but every time I put them on it feels like a new shoe and it's the most comfortable shoe I've ever worn. Now, I can't imagine playing without Boost in my shoes."

Besides being a great marketing tool, Rose's dunk is obviously a good sign that he is fully recovered from his torn meniscus. Rose has not played a full NBA season since the 2010-11 campaign. Check out Rose's jam in the clip below and pick up the D Rose 5 Boost on October 23 for $140.
