It was a tough year from Iman Shumpert in his third year, as his Knicks missed the playoffs, and his play diminished in what was supposed to be his breakout year. Many attributed it to the numerous trade rumors Shumpert was involved in that had him going just about everywhere but New York. Despite his troubles on the court, Iman was never lacking style, as he landed a deal with adidas and was seen wearing a host of kicks from the Three Stripes throughout the year including the Crazy 1, Top Ten 2000, and Crazy 8.

Today, we get a detailed look at another player exclusive from adidas for the Knicks shooting guard, this time in the form of the Crazy 97. Originally worn by Kobe Bryant in the 1997 Dunk Contest, adidas brought back the Crazy 97 for one of it's upcoming brand ambassadors in a colorway only a Knicks fan could love. Done in vibrant orange, with blue and white accents, it's almost impossible to mistake these for anything but a Knick inspired sneaker. And just incase there was any question, adidas added Shumpert's #21 on the ankle and stitched "Shump" inside the tongue.

Although it's rare to see player exclusives hit retail, it's not totally out of the realm of possibility. Nike just released a three pack of Kyrie Irving Hyperrev PE's to the public, so adidas could follow suit and unleash these to the masses as well. Let us know @SneakerReport what you of Iman's Crazy 97 PE, and if would consider scooping a pair if they ever hit shelves.
