They are few players who win as much or more than Kevin Durant and his Oklahoma City Thunder basketball team. On the road, just last season, the Thunder won 26 games of 41 away from Oklahoma City, which was second in the NBA in most away wins. Given that, Nike decided to make Durant's latest sneaker a more festive emblem of what it means to win on the road.

Sneaker Report has previously covered the initial and subsequent summer launches, but the Nike KD VI Away is highlighted by its team colors near the regular season, a combination of black x orange x blue colorblocking that makes for an exciting and highly visible shoe.

According to Durant, he wanted to have a shoe where when he played at an opponent's home court, he wanted to be so memorable and visible that even the fans in the nose-bleed seats could see him. You can see that for yourself with the bright blue accents on the midsole, the equally bright orange accents in the laces, and the large silver Swoosh that lays atop the KD VI's lateral forefoot.

Augmented with Max Air in the heel and Zoom Air in the forefoot, the KD VI Away also has Flywire embedded in the upper and its unique uni-body tongue.
