The NBA's Most Valuable Player debate is essentially a two horse race this year between LeBron James and Kevin Durant.

While it is easy to figure out that much, deciding which player should actually take home the hardware isn't so simple. Complex broke down the pros and cons of each player's case for MVP and decided that King James should come out on top in this year's race for the Maurice Podoloff Trophy. However, we here at Sneaker Report are interested in taking the debate one step further. Who is the league's MVP in terms of signature sneakers?

Coincidentally or not, the league's two most viable MVP candidates also happen to be the owners of the league's two most popular signature shoe lines. James's Nike LeBron 11s and Durant's KD Nike 6s have each been released in a number of colorways and can be found on courts all over the world. However, when it comes to sneaker game, King James still reigns supreme as the LeBron 11's made $300 million in domestic sales opposed to KD's $175 million.

While there is no denying that the KDs popularity has skyrocketed over the past year, James takes takes home the hardware as the league's sneaker MVP.
