As more and more sneakers are tending to rely on inspirational back stories to explain the shoe's colorway, the stories seem to be getting cornier and cornier. However, in the case of Kyrie Irvings' latest Nike Hyperdunk 2014 PE, the backstory is pretty unique and original.

The Nike Hyperdunk 2014 "Notebook" PE gets its inspiration from the marble notebooks you used back in elementary school. The story behind these sneakers goes that Kyrie used to write down notes in these notebooks after bad games. The black and white marble upper sits on top of a Lunarlon cushioned midsole and icy translucent blue outsole, while Kyrie's trademarked "K" logo adorns tongue. The most eye-catching detail of them all comes in the lining, which look alike a piece of loose leaf paper with the message "Just be yourself!" written out in what we presume is Kyrie's handwriting.

Check out Kyrie Irvings' Nike Hyperdunk 2014 "Notebook" PE below and let us know which sneaker you think has the best backstory behind it.
