Well, Ron Artest aka Panda's Friend aka Metta World Peace wasn't lying when he said he was going to wear these Panda head adorning sneakers during games this season.
With the Chinese Basketball Association's preseason underway, World Peace has indeed been playing in what is being called The Panda's Friend Shoe. The Panda head on the shoe is actually detachable, which means the fact that Ron, err Metta, playing these games with the head on is even doper. Previously, World Peace said that he would detach the head prior to each game and throw it in the crowd. Whoever the lucky fan was that caught the Panda head would then be deemed the Panda's friend for the day. As pre-game rituals go, this makes LeBron's chalk toss seem pretty basic.
