Reebok Commemorates Allen Iverson’s Jersey Retirement With Limited Question Mid

Hal Greer, Maurice Cheeks, Charles Barkley, Julius Irving and now….Allen Iverson.

After a storied career of being one of the toughest Point Guards the league’s ever seen, the Philadelphia 76er’s announced they will retire Allen Iverson’s #3 jersey, and join the ranks of Irving and Barkley in the rafters at the Wells Fargo Center.

Back in 1996, after being drafted first overall, Iverson signed a lucrative 10-year $50 million dollar endorsement deal to join Reebok and begin producing a signature line of sneakers. Reception was great, as the Reebok Question series took off and competed in sales for years with the likes of Nike and adidas.

This Sunday, March 1st, the Sixer’s will retire their 11-time All-Star’s number, and reebok wanted to commemorate the event with a special release for possibly their biggest endorser of all time. Reebok announced it would release a special colorway named the Banner Question, to celebrate the event. Featuring the classic Sixer’s, red, white, and blue color scheme and was made with premium materials and no detail was overlooked from the custom sock liner, to the jersey fabric upper.

When asked about the release and retirement, Iverson said, “Words cannot express what it means to have the 76ers organization retire my jersey.  And to have Reebok make the Banner Question that’s symbolic of this event makes it even more special.  The Sixers and Reebok are two partners that have always had my back and for that I’m forever grateful.”

The Reebok Banner Question is limited to 1996 pairs, and will be available March 14 at select retailers for $160.
