It was a dramatic Thursday night in the NBA with both games on the schedule going down to the wire. The Houston Rockets held on to a 109-106 win thanks to 36 points from star guard James Harden. Knicks All-Star and scoring champion Carmelo Anthony was no slouch in the loss with 45 points. The Golden State Warriors and Oklahoma City Thunder had a competitive matchup in the second game of the doubleheader. The Warriors held a double digit lead in the fourth quarter but the Thunder made a furious comeback and took the lead at 115-114 with 2.3 seconds left when Russell Westbrook hit a deep three. The Warriors' Andre Iguodala responded by hitting a buzzer beater to win the game for Golden State 116-115.

The NFL Thursday night game between the Indianapolis Colts and Tennessee Titans was a competitive matchup. The Titans jumped out to a 14-0 lead, but the Colts bounced back behind 2 rushing touchdowns from Donald Brown and a rushing touchdown from Andrew Luck. The Colts would go on to win the game 30-27. The Arizona Wildcats have some pressure on them to compete, but the team has responded well in the early part of the season. Junior guard Nick Jonson is a big part of the offensive attack and had a really good game with 23 points and 4 rebounds. Johnson can really score and did so as the Wildcats were able to win 69-60 against San Diego State. It was a tough game with the Aztecs staying in the game, but the Wildcats managing to hold on.

Shoe: Nike Super Speed D 3/4
Player: Donald Brown
Game: Indianapolis Colts vs. Tennessee Titans

The Indianapolis Colts aren't really well known for having a solid running game despite making the big splash acquisition of Trent Richardson earlier this season. Sometimes you need someone to step up and Donald Brown did just that. The veteran running back was able to rush for 80 yards and 2 touchdowns in the Colts' 3-point victory. Brown's two rushing touchdowns came in the second half as the Colts bounced back from a terrible start that saw them down at halftime 17-6.

The key to the passing game for a lot of quarterbacks is having that tight end who can save a team by making valuable check down catches. Coby Fleener did just that in the Colts' 30-27 victory over the Titans. The young Tight End was able to break free for 8 catches and 107 receiving yards in the win including a 39-yard hook up with Luck. Fleener is building his profile at the tight end position and is sure to catch some attention with performances like this one.

Shoe: Nike Hyperfuse 2012 Low PE
Player: Andre Iguodala
Game: Golden State Warriors vs. Oklahoma City Thunder

Andre Iguodala had a relatively quiet night, but he always finds a way to make an imprint on the game. Iguodala had 14 points and 9 assists in the Warriors' 116-115 victory over the Oklahoma City Thunder. Iggy only had 5 field goals, but none were more important than his game-winning buzzer beater at the end of the game to seal the Golden State win. Iguodala caught an inbounds pass and was able to hit a turnaround jumper over the outstretched arm of Thabo Sefolosha to seal the win pushing Golden State to an early 6-3 record.

Player: Tajh Boyd
Game: Clemson Tigers vs. Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets

The Clemson Tigers have one of the best offenses in College Football and they owe it all to Tajh Boyd. Boyd was wearing Lacrosse cleats, and it must've been good luck for his performance. He had a great game with 340 passing yards and 4 passing touchdowns as well as 1 rushing touchdown in Clemson's 55 -31 victory over the Yellow Jackets. Boyd has kept himself in the middle of the Heisman conversation and should still be in the race if he keeps up his great offensive performances.

Shoe: Under Armour UA Micro G® Anatomix Spawn
Player: Stephen Curry
Game: Golden State Warriors vs. Oklahoma City Thunder

Does Steph Curry ever do anything wrong? Curry had a relatively bad shooting night, but still found ways to impact the game for his Warriors all while wearing the Under Armour Micro G Anatomix Spawn.. Curry had 22 points, 5 rebounds, and 9 assists in the victory. In the first half, Curry was hot knocking down some ridiculous step back jumpers that had the Warriors crowd on its feet. Just having Curry in the lineup spaces the offense perfectly as defenses have to respect his jump shot.

Jordan Melo M9

Shoe: Jordan Melo M9
Player: Carmelo Anthony
Game: New York Knicks vs. Houston Rockets

Losing efforts are usually tough to give any credit to, but Carmelo Anthony's performance last night was pretty special. The Knicks star was firing on all cylinders in the Jordan Melo M9 with 45 points in the Knicks' 109-106 loss against the Houston Rockets. Anthony was on fire shooting 17-for-30 in the contest and added 10 rebounds, and 4 assists in the loss. We do have to add that Anthony made a few mistakes in the game with 3 turnovers and had a crucially bad intentional foul of Dwight Howard that cost the Knicks a point in a closely contested game. Despite it all, the Knicks have to be encouraged by Melo's performance after his continued struggles in the early part of the season that saw him shooting at a paltry 40 percent clip in the first 7 games of the season.
