The NBA always features something big happening on a regular basis. LeBron James was on fire as the Miami Heat were able to secure a victory despite missing Chris Bosh last night. James scored in double figures for the 500th consecutive game placing him in special company with four other players who achieved the feat. Paul George led the Indiana Pacers to a 4-0 record with 31 points and 10 rebounds reminding us that this Pacers squad is only getting better as they hold the only unbeaten record in the NBA currently. It's a scary sight even if we have passed Halloween. Here are The Shoes That Won Last Night.

Player: Jae Crowder
Game: Dallas Mavericks vs. Los Angeles Lakers

If Dallas is going to make the step in the playoff direction, they're going to need contributions from multiple players. Second year player Jae Crowder can do some of that help and add a bonus to the team. Crowder had a career-high 18 points and 4 rebounds in Dallas' 123-104 blowout of the Los Angeles Lakers. Crowder was all over the court providing solid defense and even knocking down 4 triples in the game. Expect a next step for the Marquette product as the Mavericks continue to find playing time for him.

Game: Phoenix Suns vs. New Orleans Pelicans

The Phoenix Suns are continuing to impress in the NBA on a daily basis. The Suns have jumped out to a 3-1 record despite everyone leaving them for dead this season. Part of the Suns success can be attributed to Eric Bledsoe. Bledsoe has been the rock to Phoenix's attack, and he continued that with 25 points, 4 rebounds, 5 assists, and 3 steals in 32 minutes of action. The dynamo of the Suns attack has improved his jumper and also was attacking New Orleans in the paint constantly as Phoenix won 104-98 against the Pelicans.

Player: Brook Lopez
Game: Brooklyn Nets vs. Utah Jazz

Jason Kidd can relax and let his hair down, or look at an old picture of himself with blonde hair and pretend. Kidd finally has his first win as coach of the Brooklyn Nets and he can give a ton of thanks and shower praise on center Brook Lopez. Lopez had 27 points and 7 rebonds in the Nets' easy 104-88 victory over the Utah Jazz. It's nice to see Lopez lead the attack as he was an ultra efficient 10-for-13 for the field and he did all of that in just 25 minutes of action. The Nets are 2-2 now and now all New York fans can stop panicking as at least one of the New York teams is at .500.

Tony Parker is known for a lot of things. One of those things is scoring... and rapping. Parker freestyled his way to 24 points, 3 rebounds, and 6 assists in the 102-94 win for the Spurs. Parker was getting into the paint and confusing the Denver big men with his wide array of scoring ability and had an efficient day as he shot 9-for-13 from the field and made all 6 of his free throws.

Game: Atlanta Hawks vs. Sacramento Kings

The Atlanta Hawks seem to be the official "new faces in new places" team. They have several new faces, but one player that remains as a hold over is center Al Horford. He's consistent and has a penchant for getting the job done on the floor. Horford played big in Atlanta's 105-100 road win against the Sacramento Kings. Horford scored 27 points and also finished with 10 rebounds, 3 steals, and 2 blocks in the victory. Horford won his matchup with DeMarcus Cousins solidifying the win for Atlanta.

The Charlotte Bobcats upset the New York Knicks 102-97 and they woe their success to Kemba Walker. The Bobcats hadn't won a road game since February of last season and they finally got over their road woes with a big win at MSG. Tyson Chandler of the Knicks suffered an injury and left, and that opened up the paint for Charlotte. Walker attacked with reckless abandon in the Charlotte win finishing up with 25 points, 5 rebounds, and 6 assists in the win. Are we in a bizarro world where the Bobcats have a better record than the Knicks? Nah, it's just another NBA season.

Game: Indiana Pacers vs. Detroit Pistons

We are watching the growth of Paul George on a daily basis this season. George was on fire in Indiana's 99-91 win over their division rivals the Detroit Pistons. George was making mince meat of his matchup foe Josh Smith. Smith is a good defender, but George shook him with some quick cuts including a nice finish on a lob from Roy Hibbert. George was whipping the Pistons like some good old fashioned butter as he finished with a stat line of 31 points, 10 rebounds, 4 assists, and 4 steals in the Pacers victory that pushed them to a 4-0 record.
