SPOTTED: Kyrie Irving Makes an All-Star Push in the Nike Hyperdunk 2012

The saying heavy is the head that wears the crown couldn’t be any truer than in the case of Chris Paul. He’s the leagues best point guard and one of its best players, but every year it seems like someone else is coming for that spot. Derrick rose is set to return, Rondo is starting in the All-Star game for the East, now and Kyrie Irving can do anything he wants on a basketball court. No one can stop him.

His 40 points and five assists last night in the 95-90 win at home over the Celtics was a statement on many levels. Irving is beast and will challenge Paul for that crown sooner than we think, he’ll rebuild Cleveland as a respectable team in the very near future and he deserves to be on the Eastern Conference squad in Houston on February 17. Playing in the Hyperdunk 2012, Irving’s quickness is utilized and protected by the FlyWire on the upper and the multidirectional traction helps him get a better grip to have control while running full speed.
