Sometimes LeBron James just looks unreal. The speed at which he moves, the vision he uses to make accurate passes and hockey type assists (the pass that leads to the pass) and, of course, the way he can score on or guard nearly every position on the floor. If God plays 2K up there, LeBron James, it seems, is his created player with all the ratings turned up.
Toward the end of the second quarter, LeBron James, in his 10th signature shoe, drove hard into the lane using the X’s strong FlyWire upper to get a secure stop for a pull-up jumper that made him the fastest to 20,000 points surpassing Wilt Chamberlain (who did it in an amazing 400 games), Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant, who all did it at age 29, in that regard. James also hit the 5,000 assist mark last night.
Sports fans tend to get caught up in comparisons and forget to appreciate what kind of talent is on display. Players like LeBron don’t happen very often. In fact, of all the NBA players to ever lace them up, only 12 people are on the 20,000 points, 5,000 assists, 5,000 list, Kobe and Kevin Garnett being the only other active members. So as far as debates go, forget them for now. Just enjoy the show.
