Back in the beginning of October, we saw NBA Finals MVP Kawhi Leonard wearing a previously unseen version of the Air Jordan XX9 at the San Antonio Spurs Media Day. Last night, the unreleased XX9s turned up again, this time gracing the feet of Brooklyn's Joe Johnson.

As one of Jordan Brand's longest tenured athletes, Joe Johnson brought out the black and white pair of XX9s for the Nets preseason matchup in Shanghai against the Sacramento Kings. Johnson tallied 8 points in 26 minutes while wearing the yet-to-be released sneakers. The fact that Johnson was wearing the shoes last night, puts to rest the theory that they were a PE for Leonard. Further proving the theory wrong is the fact that the shoes now have their own release date.

You can pick up a pair of the Air Jordan XX9 "Black/White" when they hit stores on October 25. In the meantime, let us know which black and white team's uniforms they go better with: the Nets or the Spurs?
