After causing quite the stir when images hit the Internet, the Nike LeBron 12 "23 Chromosomes" has an official release date.
Slated to be the first LeBron 12 release of 2015, the sneakers will drop on January 17. The shoe contains the unique blend of pink pow and blue lagoon hues on top of a black-based upper. The real eye-grabber, though, is the Hyperposite overlay that dons a shiny chromosome inspired print, which makes the sneaker look more like a lifestyle or fashion shoe than a performance one. We'd be surprised to see LeBron actually wear these on court, but after seeing Wes Matthews play in the Nike Kobe 9 KRM EXT "Challenge Red" anything is possible.
