Nike has unveiled two new colorways for the Kobe 9 Elite, including the shoes Mamba will don the night of his much anticipated return.
Equipped with two key technologies, the new Kobe 9 Elite marks the first time Flyknit technology has been used in a basketball shoe, resulting in a model that is 50% lighter than most hard court options. Each colorway was inspired by Bryant's love for art, culture and Los Angeles, with the recently announced "Perspective" and "Detail" playing off of Cubist and Italian Renaissance movements.
The Laker themed purple and gold "Inspiration" colorway will be worn by the five-time NBA champ when he returns to the game for the first time since December 17.
