The Nike Kobe 9 KRM EXT "Challenge Reds" are made for lifestyle use and not actually playing in. Somebody forgot to tell Wesley Matthews that, though, as the Trailer Blazers shooting guard wore them last night in Portland's marathon game with the Spurs.
While they certainly looked good, we just wonder how they performed. After all, that challenge red leather heel can't feel too comfortable after sweating in them for a full game plus three overtimes. However, the shoes didn't slow Matthews down, as he netted 16 points with seven rebounds and five assists. The real star of the game, though, was Damian Lillard, who dropped a career high 43 points. But then again, he wasn't wearing leather sneakers.
Check out Matthews' Kobe 9 KRM EXT "Challenge Reds" below and head over to Nike to pick up your own pair for $275.
