The unveiling of the Penn State men's basketball team's alternate uniforms for the 2014-15 season served as a history lesson of sorts, as we all learned that the Nittany Lions' original color scheme was actually pink and black.

That's right. Instead of the iconic navy and white that we are so accustomed to seeing, Penn State actually wore pink and black when the team was first established in 1887. To honor the tradition of the school, the Nittany Lions will trot out the pink and black unis for at least two games this season. Since we are Sneaker Report, we are also excited to see that Penn State will have accompanying pink and black Nike KD7s and Kobe 9 EMs to go along with the alternate uniforms.
