The MLB was on full display last night as the First Round featured some pretty dramatic matchups between the Dodgers and Braves and the Rays and the Red Sox. The Dodgers won thanks to a two-run Home Run from Juan Uribe in the bottom of the eighth that had all fans on their feet. Uribe's homer gave the Dodgers a 4-3 lead and they closed it out in the ninth to win their series 3-1.

The Tampa Bay Rays closed out the Boston Red Sox in Game Three of their series. They survived elimination thanks to a Walkoff Homerun from Jose Lobaton of the Rays in the bottom of the ninth to keep their hopes alive and fight another day in their 5-4 win. Michael Wacha put in work to get the Cardinals to a Game Five. David Harris was all over the field last night. The Jets linebacker had 14 total tackles and 9 solo during the Jets' 30-28 close win over the Atlanta Falcons. The Jets held the Atlanta offense without Steven Jackson to just 64 yards rushing total and Harris had a lot to do with that thanks to his all-out defensive ability and commitment.

Josh Reddick was big in the Athletic's second victory in their five-game series with the Detroit Tigers. He blasted a Home Run in the fourth inning to give the A's a 2-0 lead and put them in the right direction. The Al's would end up winning the game 6-3 behind the home run and some solid fielding. Fear the Beard!

Game: St. Louis Cardinals vs. Pittsburgh Pirates

Matt Holliday did not want the Cardinals losing to the Pirates. Holliday scored the only two runs for St. Louis with a two-run Home Run in the sixth inning to give St. Louis the power to tie their series with the Pirates 2-2 going back home to St. Louis. If he keeps up this performance Holliday might get his own holiday in St. Louis.

Game: New York Jets vs. Atlanta Falcons

Nick Folk kicks his goals in two different shoes and worked out successfully for the Jets Kicker. He made three field goals including the most important field goal to take the Jets to the Promised land of 3-2 with a score at the final buzzer of the contest. We're wondering how hard that conversation is with the NFL's strict fashion policies on what players do with their shoes.
