The US is going to look good at this year's Ryder Cup, like really, really good.
Thanks to the folks at Ralph Lauren, the US will look the best it has in years with three patriotic yet classic designs to be worn on the course during the 40th Ryder Cup at Gleneagles in Perthshire, Scotland from September 23-28. With the announcement, the PGA also revealed that Ralph Lauren will be the official partner and outfitter of the PGA of America through the year 2020.
"We are honored to begin this partnership with the PGA of America and to celebrate the achievements of these esteemed golfers as they represent our country,” said David Lauren, Ralph Lauren’s Executive Vice President of Global Advertising, Marketing and Corporate Communications. “We look forward to a long-standing relationship that will further shape the game and support PGA professional development."
As SB Nation points out, there have been some pretty horrendous Ryder Cup uniforms in years past so it's refreshing to see something that you might actually wear being used this year. The 2014 Ralph Lauren Ryder Cup collection will be available online at RalphLauren.com and shop.pga.com, as well as select golf clubs, resorts and stores.
