adidas by Stella McCartney’s Sneaker Lineup is So Good, You’ll Forget It’s For the Gym

There is no competition for adidas by Stella McCartney when it comes to fusing style and performance. When not being award by the Queen (!), the designer continues to keep the womenswear-meets-activewear market on lockdown as it has for the past 9 years, bringing graphic florals and subtle fauna textures to the gym. Not a black spandex legging or graphic tee in sight, and that’s how we like it.

The Spring 2013 footwear collection is clean, fusing subtle textures with bold colors, resulting in footwear that sports a healthy amount of mesh overlays and transparent layers for running, cycling, training, tennis, and studio practices. Our favorites include Stella’s adaptation of this year’s Energy Boost technology in the Struthio Boost, the Cacatua Runner’s gentle yet bold racing stripe, and the collaboration’s unrivaled variety of performance-capable ballet flats.
