The coveted sub-two hour marathon is looking like more and more of a possibility following Dennis Kimetto's record setting run today in the Berlin Marathon while wearing a pair of the adidas Adizero Adios Boost 2's.

Crossing the finish line with a time of 2:02:57, Kimetto set a new marathon world record, besting Wilson Kipsang's previous mark by 26 seconds. Second place finisher Emmanuel Mutai was also within world record pace as he clocked in at 2:03:13, which would have been a world record if not for Kimetto.

"I feel good because I won a very tough race," Kimetto said. "I felt good from the start and in the last few miles I felt I could do it and break the record. I believe I can improve it further. I’d like to return and try to break it again next year."

Keep it with Sneaker Report for more news regarding Kimetto's record-setting day and head over to adidas to pick up a pair of the adidas Adizero Adios Boost 2's for $140.
