Nike continues to trot out new kits for the 2014-15 season, with FC Barcelona being its latest subject.
The bright new away kit is meant to capture the spirit of La Masia, Barcelona's revered youth academy which has produced top flight, work-class talent for its parent club. According to Nike, the bright crimson is meant to reflect the fledgling player's desire to stand out from the crowd.
Thew crew-neck jersey sports an all crimson look except for its multi-colored cuffs which are dark red on the front and blue on the back. On the inside of the collar is a unique design which combines the Catalan flag, known as the Senyera, between Barcelona's iconic dark red and blue home colors. This design extends to the back of the collar with the club's nickname "Barca" printed below it. Inside the collar is the phrase ""Mes que un club" (More than a club), and the team's foundation year of 1899.
The bright crimson kits will be paired with bright crimson shorts with thin blue lines on both sides.
Barcelona's new road kit will be available online beginning July 16 and in-stores on July 17.
