Nike has released the official Home and Away kits for the Croatian National Team that they will wear in Brazil this summer for the World Cup.

Unveiled in the capital city of Zagreb, the home kits are modeled after the original jerseys that Croatia wore in their first match as an independent nation against the United States in October of 1990. This year will celebrate the 25th anniversary of the first time that Croatia donned its signature red-and-white checks. On the inside of the collar it reads "Budi Ponosan," which translates to "Be Proud."

The away kits also feature the red-and-white checks that are so central to Croatian culture, but in a more subtle fashion. In Croatia, the red checks stand for bravery and strength, while the white checks symbolize serenity, peace and honesty. On the away kit, these checks are worn on the sleeves of the royal blue jerseys.

Both the home and away jerseys are equipped with the latest in performance technology, including Nike Dri-FIT, mesh panels and laser-cut ventilation holes in order to keep players cool throughout the match.
