One goal can change everything, just ask Jermaine Jones.

After his goal against Portugal during the USA's Group G match in the 2014 FIFA World Cup, Jones became a household name after toiling in soccer obscurity. Now a star, Jones is becoming the new face of Under Armour soccer, inking a deal with the Baltimore-based performance company today.

Born in Germany, Jones actually got his start playing for the German U21 team. However, with no room for him on the stacked German squad, Jones announced that he would play for Team USA in 2009. Having not scored in more than 2 years for the USMNT, Jones' breakout moment came against Portugal when he booted the ball outside of the 18-yard box into the back of the net to tie things up at one a piece. Although the game ended in a 2-2 tie, Jones' World Cup strikes instantly became one of the most famous goals in US Soccer history. No longer a stranger, Jones now joins Michael Dawson, Brad Friedel and Lauren Holiday on UA's soccer roster.

Check out Jones' famous World Cup goal below and look out for his future involvement with Under Armour.
