With one last U.S. Men's National Team match to go, the end is near for perhaps the greatest player in American men's soccer history, Landon Dononvan.

On Friday, Dononvan will lace up his Nike CTR360 Maestri III boots one final time, as the USA takes on Ecuador in a friendly match in Hartford, Connecticut. Head coach Jugen Klinsmann has already announced that Donovan will be included amongst the starting XI and he will don the captain's armband for his 157th career national cap. However, with the Los Angeles Galaxy set to take on FC Dallas in a vital showdown on Sunday, Donovan will only play 30 minutes in his final appearance on Friday night.

In a controversial move this past summer, Donovan was left off of the USA's World Cup squad that traveled to Brazil. Instead of going out on a sour note, Donovan can now appropriately close the curtain on a legendary international career. To prepare us for Donovan's sure to be emotional goodbye, U.S. Soccer has compiled the following tribute video featuring some of Donavan's highlight from his days as a U17 team member to his career defining goal at the 2010 World Cup in South Africa.

Watch the video above and tune in on Friday when Landon Donovan takes the international stage one last time.
