As the latest face of Nike tennis, Dimitrov sat down with NikeCourt and discussed his playing style and what sets him apart from others in the sport. According Dimitrov, confidence plays a key role in getting to where he is today. While off the court, he may be more laid-back and spontaneous, but on the court he is more focused at the task at hand.

"Sometimes confidence is everything," Dimitrov said. "You may not be playing your best tennis or having your best match, sometimes it's just not your day; the important thing is to believe in yourself, which starts with being confident in your abilities."

Dimitrov went on to say that his free time is vital to his success on the court. In the same way he leaves his opponents guessing not he court, Dimitrov's free time is never planned or scheduled.

"I try and do whatever I want with my free time, I think having control of what you do is really important," Dimitrov said. "It is about being able to express yourself as you see fit. I've always been this way on or off the court. Basically, I try and stay true to my abilities and myself and that translates to better play and a better life."
