During New York Fashion week this September, Alexander Wang debuted a Spring 2015 line inspired by iconic sneakers like the adidas Stan Smith and Air Jordan III. At last night's MTV European Music Awards, rapper Nicki Minaj wore the Stan Smith-inspired dress on stage as part of ten different outfit changes.
While it is officially called the Spring 2015 Bi-Color Optical Mesh Polo Dress, we all know where its influence comes from, as the all white body and green collar are unmistakably taken from the iconic adidas tennis shoe. Unfortunately for us, Nicki did not wear an accompanying pair of Stan Smith's with the Alexander Wang dress, but then again for the sake of sneaker heads everywhere it's probably a good thing she didn't.
