The Nike Air Tech Challenge II is Back for the Australian Open

The Nike Air Tech Challenge II is best known as Andre Agassi’s second signature tennis shoe, attributing to his No. 1 world ranking throughout the ’90s in an iconic Hot Lava colorway. With the Australian Open kicking off next Monday, Nike Sportswear has pulled a pretty surprising move by re-releasing the former tennis performance shoe with a white leather upper, 3M swoosh, a tonal blue paint splatter and a suede orange layovers.

The tongue may flaunt Agassi’s career wins, but the rest is a radical departure from the original look. We wonder what Andre thinks of this. Yoozers.

Stay tuned as the Australian Open kicks off on Monday.
