The Greenbrier is getting a familiar face for its first-ever tennis pro emeritus, as the resort has appointed Hall of Famer and 14-time Grand Slam winner Pete Sampras to the position.

"Pete Sampras is the consummate gentleman ambassador for the international sport of tennis, and we couldn't be more thrilled to welcome him back to The Greenbrier and count him among our legendary group of sports pros representing America's Resort," says Jim Justice, owner of The Greenbrier.

Sampras is no stranger to The Greenbrier, as he headlined The Greenbrier Champions Tennis Classic with John McEnroe in 2012 and 2013. In his first act as pro emeritus, Sampras will host a tennis clinic for 24 lucky participants.

The Pete Sampras Tennis Clinic will consist of three days of instructional sessions focusing on a variety of tennis skills and techniques, a Round Robin Doubles tournament, a Pro-Am with the pros and an exhibition match. The package also includes a welcome reception with Sampras, as well as breakfast and lunch in the Champion's Room.

Sign up today for The Pete Sampras Tennis Clinic at The Greenbrier's website.
