Nike has always believed in the concept of future heritage, meaning that you must respect the past to create the future. With this mantra in mind, Nike has created the Court Collection, merging yesterday's style and attitude with today's performance technologies.

The Court collection consist of three components: the Nike Court Apparel Collection by Fragment, the Nike Tennis Classic by Fragment and the Nike Court Air Tech Challenge II.

Nike partnered with Fragment Design for its Nike Court Apparel Collection. Fragment Design founder Hiroshi Fujiwara used a palette of deep navy blue and stark white to instill a domineering attitude into classic tennis silhouettes. The apparel collection consists of the Nike Court 1/2 Zip Jacket, the Nike Court Polo and the Nike Court Herrington Jacket.

Throwing it back 41 years to 1973 is the Nike Court Tennis Classic by Fragment. A favorite of Fujiwara's because of its rich history and iconography, the new style takes the performance classic and updates it with street status premium materials.

Finally, rounding out the collection is the Nike Court Air Tech Challenge II, a celebration of the U.S. Open and a homage to the shoe that Andre Agassi debuted on-court in 1990. This modern take on Tinker Hatfield's classic shoe uses white lines to reference the painted white lines of a tennis court while red, white and blue coloring pay tribute to America's biggest tennis tournament.

In the buildup to next week's U.S. Open in New York, Nike will debut the collection on August 21 at Niketown NY, as well as Nike Lab locations around the globe.
