Who says performance tracking is too slow? Apparently, adidas is implying something to that effect with the debut of its evolutionary model of the miCoach technology. Introducing the miCoach X_Cell, adidas re-engineered its already existing and successful miCoach into a version that gathers and reads data relating to performance in real time.

Bluetooth-enabled, the X_Cell is wireless, around the size of a typical heart rate monitor, and can be worn on a chest strap or even on the waist of your athletic shorts or pants – whatever you train in.

The purpose of the X_Cell is to just further enhance the performance of athletes as they train, but also coaches will be enabled with the X_Cell’s data to be more strategic in directing players; even athletic trainers can be more informed (think of monitoring heart rate or other indicators that could determine how to treat athletes that may be dehydrated, etc).

A three-piece set, the X_Cell is versatile enough to help you prepare for your sport of choice, whether it’s football, basketball, running, and more.

So, if you’re interested in meeting a personal goal relative to your vertical leap, quickness, or overall reaction time, the adidas miCoach X_Cell might be something to check for.
