The phrase "They sure don't make 'em like they used to anymore," applies to a lot of things these days, including advertising. Lets face it, sneaker commercials today are sort of a snooze compared to what they used to be in the nineties. Before the 2000's came and hip hop dominated the sneaker commercial landscape, the nineties were a gold mine in terrible gimmicks, strange story lines and unintentional comedy (not to mention the horrible quality of the ads).
