Derrick Rose and the Chicago Bulls kick off their season in just under a week against Carmelo Anthony and the New York Knicks. Today marked the official launch of the adidas D Rose 5, but the Three Stripes just unveiled two new colorways that Rose will have in his rotation throughout the season.

The D Rose 5 marks the first basketball shoe to feature full-length Boost cushioning, and apparently Rose is feeling the benefits as he's been playing extremely well in the last few preseason games. The D Rose 5 "Home" features a mostly white scheme, that includes a lightweight SPRINTWEB upper and patent leather mudguard for added strength and style. The tongue graphic was inspired by Chicago architecture, and adidas opted for black splatter paint design through the Fit Cage for a more unique look. For the "Alternate Away" version, adidas simply flipped the script and went with a black upper, and gray and white paint splatter design on the Fit Cage. Derrick will wear all colorways of the D Rose 5, including the "Train Line" colorway which was debuted a few days back.

The D Rose 5 Boost “Home” will be available beginning November 6, while the “Alternate Away” is scheduled to drop December 4.
