Under Armour basketball has been making some big moves both on and off the court in recent months. As team UA continues to grow and become a force to be reckoned with on a player level, so too does the brand’s extensive basketball footwear collection. The latest addition to UA’s expanding collection is the Micro G Charge Volt—a high top version of the Charge Volt Low shoe that we previewed here on SR just days ago.

With the Micro G Charge Volt, the name of the game is support. The high-top silhouette is designed to allow players to move freely without having to sacrifice support. The Volt’s articulated heel design offers ankle and foot support that you just don’t get with low’s. Its two-piece upper works with the foot to articulate around the ankle for a completely locked down fit.

The Charge Volt is constructed from UA’s HeatGear materials, which are breathable and wick sweat to keep your foot cool, light and dry. Perforated synthetic overlays add yet another layer of ventilation to help regulate temperature, and also serve as a lightweight support feature without any added bulk. As its make indicates, the shoe features a full-length Micro G foam midsole for responsive cushioning, and even features strategically placed foam pods in the heel and tongue for added comfort.

Rounding out the shoe is a large midfoot TPU shank that helps prevent the foot from rolling, along with a clear rubber outsole that is cored out to be lighter without skimping on durability. The shoe's outsole pattern is versatile enough to be used on both indoor and outdoor courts.

As of now, the Charge Volt is available exclusively on the UA website.
