When you come across a footwear brand that isn’t familiar to you, naturally you have your doubts about whether or not it’s legit. For us, that’s sort of how the story went with Oregon-based running specialty brand Skora. However, that all changed the day a pair of one of Skora’s flagship sneakers, the Form, arrived at Sneaker Report headquarters.
A couple of months ago, we got the liberty to test out the minimalist zero-drop running sneaker, and test it out we did. After putting the shoe through weeks of rigorous testing, and logging in endless miles along the way, we’ve come to the stern conclusion that this is a shoe you MUST have in your collection.
Our first impression of the Form back in early January was nothing less than a tease, leaving us wanting more. The shoe’s Pittards Goatskin leather upper offers an ultra-soft feel that we haven’t experienced in any other running shoe currently on the market. In fact, the Goatskin leather, paired with a no-tongue construction and an asymmetrical lacing system, is so comfortable that we’re convinced no other upper can match its performance, or even its aesthetics for that matter.
The foundation upon which the Goatskin upper is housed on is nothing short of superb as well. The zero-drop 9mm sole extends over the upper for 360-degree support and stability. The shoe’s lack of a midfoot shank gives it a natural ride on pretty much any type of surface. To give runners a comfy platform to rest their feet on, Skora has given the shoe an Ortholite insole that cradles the feet like a mother’s arms (yah, it’s that serious).
Bottom Line: If you want an ultra-light, ultra-comfortable shoe that doesn’t skimp on comfort and traction, the Skora Form is your best bet. Oh, and if you’re still looking for a reason to buy, heres one: Skora just dropped the price on select colorways of the Form by a significant amount, making this one a no-brainer.
