Stella McCartney by adidas has done it again.

Continuing to take women's performance apparel and gear to the next level, spring 2014 focuses on updating gym class staples for today's athletes and explorers. Borrowing materials formerly reserved for the high school phys. ed department, Stella reintroduced cozy heather knits and mesh pinnies into a workout wardrobe that heavily depends on mesh panels and oversized elements to diversify the look. Most of the collection transcends the gym for a casual, athletic vibe that'll keep you looking sporty all summer long.

As for the shoes, the dreaded water and shower shoes of our youth are back with a '90s vengeance, boasting the name brand logo and all of the right colors for a now-wearable gym essential. Did adidas just make the "water shoe" cool? We think so, and after seeing what adidas Performance did with the slip-on silhouette last year expect more sock-like fits in 2014.

The most notable technical shoe incorporated Boost into a low profile mesh runner that we can't wait to slip into next year. In the meantime, get accustomed to Boost with the Adizero Adios.

Stay tuned for Stella release updates and click through above for the entire collection.
