The ALCS just got real. The Detroit Tigers looked like they had control of Game Two and were on their way to a 2-0 series lead, but the Boston Red Sox responded with a grand slam from David Ortiz to tie the game at five. This series just became a must-watch for all the casual MLB fans not really praying attention. The NFL featured some great games including the New England Patriots and Tom Brady leading the New Orleans Saints to a win on a late game drive as well as a great win by the Cincinnati Bengals over the Buffalo Bills in overtime behind a strong performance from quarterback Andy Dalton. Here are The Shoes That Won Last Night.

Game: New England Patriots vs. New Orleans Saints

Never bet against Tom Brady. Every fan should know that by now. The New England Patriots future Hall of Fame quarterback seemed dead in the water when the Patriots were down 27-23. Half of the Patriots faithful departed to beat the traffic, but they missed out as Brady made a 70-yard late game drive that was capped by a 17-yard pass to Kenbrell Thompkins. The Thompkins touchdown pass gave the Patriots the 30-27 win. Brady ended the game 25-for-43 with 269 yards and that one touchdown pass. The Pats are now 5-1 on the season.

Player: Gerald Green
Game: Phoenix Suns vs. San Antonio Spurs

The Phoenix Suns are expected to be one of the worst teams in the NBA this season. They have a young and inexperienced roster, but do have some talent like the high-flying and posterizing Gerald Green. While Green has yet to find his niche as a player in the NBA, Phoenix will provide ample playing time and touches for Green. In the Suns' Preseason 106-99 win over the San Antonio Spurs, Green scored 20 points and had 3 rebounds and 2 assists as well. Green might be a little wild and erratic, but those dunks are what we remember.

Harris' scintillating return put the Cowboys in the driver seat and helped them to a 31-16 win over the Washington Redskins. The Cowboys are now 3-3 after the solid victory.
